David Jordan awarded 2025 LMS Berwick Prize

Professor Jordan has been recognised by the London Mathematical Society for the foundational 2018 paper ‘Integrating quantum groups over surfaces’.

He shares the honour with his co-author Professor Adrien Brochier from the Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu-Paris Rive Gauche, who is a former Whittaker Research Fellow in the School.

The 2025 prize winners were announced at the London Mathematical Society meeting on Friday 4 July 2025. The LMS awards several prizes for achievements in and contributions to mathematics.  A full list of winners and the full citations can be viewed on their website:
