For general audiences

We want to share the magic of mathematics with as many people as possible. In collaboration with external partners, we contribute to many activities that are free and open to the public.

Every spring, we take part in Edinburgh Science Festival, a fortnight of inspiring science and technology events hosted in the city.

The Cabaret of Dangerous is a blend of controversial academic research, audience interaction, and a dash of comedy at the world’s largest arts festival!

A monthly opportunity for like-minded, self-confessed maths enthusiasts to get together in a pub and share stuff they like.

We participate in this annual nationwide initiative through a variety of events and activities aimed at people from any age or background.
