About HiGHS

HiGHS is the world's best open-source linear optimization software, and was developed in the University of Edinburgh by Julian Hall and Ivet Galabova using solvers written by Edinburgh PhD students and a developer. It can be called from many languages and modelling systems, and provides the linear programming and mixed-integer programming solvers in SciPy and MATLAB.
