A monthly opportunity for like-minded, self-confessed maths enthusiasts to get together in a pub and share stuff they like. The Edinburgh MathsJam is co-organised by the School’s own Dr Ben Goddard. It usually runs on the second-last Tuesday of the month, from 7pm in the evening, in the Brass Monkey on Drummond Street (14 Drummond Street, EH8 9TU). Look for the table with sheep and people doing mathsy things. Please note that MathsJam is not for children. MathsJam is an event for adults to meet and socialise, which is why they are mainly held in licensed premises, where under-18s are not allowed.
