SoM researchers selected for RSE Research Awards

Dr Sergio Garcia Quiles and Dr Lars Schewe secured Royal Society of Edinburgh funding for their exceptional research projects.

Eleven of the funded research projects are led by researchers in the College of Science and Engineering, which will share £729,000 between 72 research groups across Scotland.

Sergio receives a Small Grant for his project, A fast solution algorithm for a periodical multimodal routing problem.

Lars, along with his collaborator Professor Andreas Tillmann at TU Clausthal, receives funding through the Scotland-Lower Saxony Research and Innovation Scheme for Scalable optimisation algorithms for energy and traffic networks.
