The University of Cambridge has announced the winner of one of its oldest and most prestigious prizes. The Adams Prize is awarded jointly each year by the Faculty of Mathematics and St John's College to UK-based researchers, under the age of 40, doing first class international research in the Mathematical Sciences.This year's topic was "Geometry" and the prize has been jointly awarded to Nick Sheridan and Soheyla Feyzbakhsh of Imperial College London. Soheyla was a PhD student in the School, supervised by Arend Bayer. Congratulations to both!The Adams Prize is named after the mathematician John Couch Adams and was endowed by members of St John's College.
