Maths win at Edinburgh Innovations Startup Summer Accelerator Showcase

Adi Kumar, one of our undergraduate students, was one of 11 student entrepreneurs to take part in Edinburgh Innovations' three-month Startup Summer Accelerator programme.

Adi is building rapid AI retail checkout automation, reducing checkout time and errors.

After pitching to a judging panel that included Lizzie Withington (Director of Venture Creation at Edinburgh Innovations), Mary Jane-Brouwers (Director of Mint Ventures) and Dan McKiddie (Investment Manager at Archangel Investors), the founder of Descrai finished in joint first place, taking home £3000.
