Can maths help people access aid more quickly?

Dr Kit Searle was interviewed by the Edinburgh Impact team about his work with Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders.

Kit has led the development of an algorithm that hopes to transform theoretical maths into a powerful tool for change.

The algorithm will help aid agencies optimise where to site humanitarian relief, healthcare, or medical facilities and can save thousands of hours of avoidable travel and delay for affected communities.
