The School has had successes from the internal seed-funding scheme that aims to fuel innovative and disruptive projects that transcend traditional boundaries.

  • Dr Amanda Lenzi will work in collaboration with Raffaella Calabrese of the Business School to understand the impact of natural disasters on the credit risk for mortgages and loans to small businesses.
  • Dr Francesco Tudisco will work in collaboration with Pasquale Minervini, School of Informatics and Luke Daines, Deanery of Molecular, Genetic and Population Health Sciences on faithful and trustworthy generative AI for healthcare.
  • Dr Sjoerd Beentjes will work in collaboration with Audrey Ryback, a Clare Francis PDRA at the Institute of Genetics and Cancer, Ava Khamseh of Informatics, and Chris Ponting of the MRC Human Genetic Unit on "Uncovering risk factors, disease subgroups, and the life-long health impacts of myalgic encephalomyelitis using causal artificial intelligence".
